Mudguard Community Projects

More than clothing, building community impact

Mudguard started in Breda with a mission to challenge fashion, but our vision doesn’t stop at clothing. Through Mudguard Community Projects, we use creativity to give back, inspiring youth, working with clubs, and building bridges in culture. It’s where our streetwear roots meet real-world change.

Why Mudguard Community Projects matter

Every project we launch is more than a side note, it’s part of our DNA. From football fields to classrooms, from art spaces to local communities, we bring people together and create impact that lasts beyond a drop.

Scroll down to discover the stories behind each collaboration: the partners we teamed up with, the ideas that sparked, and the mark we left along the way.

OUR PARTNERS, NOT CLIENTS:

For us, these collaborations aren’t transactions, they’re partnerships. Each brand, club, or organization we work with becomes part of the Mudguard story, shaping projects that go beyond clothing and into real impact. Click on a logo to dive into the full story behind our collaboration.

Mudguard x Ploegendienst

Our first-ever pop-up took place at Ploegendienst Festival 2025 in Breda, and it was unforgettable. People didn’t just buy Mudguard, they put it on straight away, locking their old shirts in a locker and stepping out in fresh Mudguard pieces. The energy around our stand never dropped, from the first try-ons to the mirror selfies and the rain showers people shared with us.

At one point, Kik (the owner of Mudguard) walked across the festival grounds and said: “I had tears in my eyes, seeing Mudguard everywhere proved that our concept works.” That moment showed us we’re not just creating clothes, we’re building culture.

MUDGUARD X KLUBCAFE

September 6, 2025 will always be special, the night Mudguard hosted its very first event. We took over Klubcafe in the heart of Breda, transforming the terrace into a pop-up for our Manifest collection before the doors opened to a full-blown afterparty. The place was packed, the vibe electric, and the community showed up like never before. From people trying on tees and meeting each other for the first time, to a dance floor still full at 4 in the morning, it was proof that Mudguard is more than clothing, it’s a movement. This debut wasn’t about sales, it was about culture, connection, and showing Breda what we stand for: f*ck trends, do your own thing.

MUDGUARD X FORTUNA VERBINDT

At Fortuna Verbindt the bar was set high from the start. The group had just wrapped a press conference with the head coach, designed captain armbands and picked a winner who would wear it in an Eredivisie match. Then it was our turn. Mudguard walked in and the switch was instant. The talk hit, the energy shifted and the design part opened everyone up.

One participant stood out. Usually quiet, almost invisible in the group. But this time he locked in and went all in. Not just a tee. A full fit. Shirt, pants, cap and even his own brand name with meaning behind it. Pure focus and pride showing up for the first time. The team picked him as the winner and the whole room felt it. A real moment.

MUDGUARD X PEC ZWOLLE

What started as a quiet session with a group of young creators turned into real energy fast. Once Kik opened up about building a brand from scratch, the room shifted. Ideas came out, questions kept coming, and the design part unlocked something in everyone. Moodboards, sketches, personal stories turned into tees that actually meant something. One design stood out a butterfly with Trust the process across the chest and we brought it to life in Portugal.

MUDGUARD X SC HEERENVEEN

On April 17, 2025, Mudguard hosted a workshop at the Abe Lenstra Stadion with 20 MBO students, supported by sc Heerenveen and our contact Ruben. What started with a quiet group soon turned into a flood of questions, ideas, and creative energy. By the end, students were presenting t-shirt concepts that carried humor, pride, and personal stories, proving that fashion isn’t about the prettiest sketch, but the meaning behind it. This collaboration showed us once again that creativity can empower the next generation, and in December 2025, we’ll be back in Heerenveen for more.

Mudguard x RKC Waalwijk

Between December 2024 and April 2025, Mudguard teamed up with RKC Waalwijk Community Champions for seven workshops with local youth. More than 100 participants turned their own stories into unique t-shirt designs, learning that fashion is about more than style, it’s about meaning.

Some walked in convinced they weren’t creative, only to walk out as winners. As Kik put it: “The best part was seeing them light up when they realized they could create something powerful. Everyone is creative, some just don’t know it yet.”

Mudguard clothing x Fontys partnership

MUDGUARD X FONTYS Eindhoven

From March to May 2025, Mudguard entered the classrooms of Fontys Hogeschool Eindhoven to guide students through the “Meaningful You” challenge. Instead of standard assignments, they were pushed to create visual campaigns, short movies, and bold concepts that spoke to real people and real stories. Some ideas fit our brand perfectly, others were wildly different, but all proved that creativity has no limits. One student was even inspired to start their own fashion label, later connecting with Kik for guidance. For us, this wasn’t just education, it was culture in the making.

MUDGUARD X N.E.C. NIJMEGEN

At N.E.C. Nijmegen, we felt right at home from the start. Two workshops in the press room brought out powerful stories, from a Syrian student designing a shirt that celebrated her homeland’s beauty, to another who turned a family portrait into a moving design. These moments showed what Community Champions is all about creativity as a way to tell your truth. For Mudguard, this partnership goes beyond a single day, it’s the start of something long-term.

MUDGUARD X VITESSE

Together with Stichting Vitesse Betrokken, Mudguard tested a pilot in Arnhem to see if our story could spark creativity in new ways. From practical education to interactive sessions, two groups turned out designs that proved how powerful self-expression can be. One student, Boaz, even drew people abseiling from the Mudguard logo, “because then you can climb on it and hold on to it.” Simple words, big meaning. With more workshops planned for December, this partnership is only getting started.

MUDGUARD X RODA JC

With Roda JC, Mudguard worked with youth who often hear more about their limits than their potential. Inside the stadium and later in a Kerkrade community center, we guided groups to turn their own stories into t-shirt designs. From playful sketches to a Ronaldo shirt symbolizing resilience, “If he can do it, so can I”, the message was clear: manifestation works. This partnership proved that creativity can unlock confidence where it’s needed most.
