Mudguard x Roda JC: Manifesting dreams
INSPIRATION INSIDE THE STADIUM
On April 29, 2025, Mudguard visited the stadium of Roda JC to host a workshop for young people with a distance to the labor market. Guided by our contact Armand, we stepped into a group that was both unique and deeply inspiring. These students listened attentively, eager for a message of hope. We shared what drives us at Mudguard: you can become anything if you believe it and put in the work. That’s also why our third collection is called Manifest. Because everything starts with belief, vision, and persistence.
CREATIVITY WITH MEANING
Once the design challenge began, creativity filled the room. Each participant translated their own story into a t-shirt concept. Some ideas were playful, others personal, but every design carried weight. There was laughter, brainstorming, and an energy that proved fashion is more than fabric, it’s a way to express who you are and what you stand for.
COMMUNITY IN KERKRADE
On May 23, we returned, this time in a local community center in Kerkrade, again with the support of Roda JC. Here, the group was rooted in football culture, and many designs celebrated the players who inspire them, from Cristiano Ronaldo to Paul Pogba. One student proudly explained his Ronaldo design: “He grew up poor on an island in Portugal, with nothing. Look at him now, one of the most influential people in the world. If he can do it, so can I.” That’s the power of manifestation. That’s the impact we aim to leave behind.
